SECUTAG® secures PUMA:

Since 1993 Sportlifestyle company PUMA secures its products with micro colour-code particles SECUTAG®. Since this counterfeits diminished obviously. Jochen Lederhilger, head of the legal department, confirms: “We protect our articles with SECUTAG®. So we can easily proof whether a product is original or forged, at any time.”

SECUTAG® is integrated in PUMA sports ware labels. Sport shoes, fashion articles or handbags: the whole sports collection is tagged with micro colour-code particles. Trade commissioners, product protection agents of PUMA and customs can identify products doubtlessly or on the other hand detect them as forged.

PUMA AG communicates its product protection strategy in public.

Each customer can convince himself on its own gaining an original product of PUMA. This is a sales argument which is used precisely as an instrument of strategic marketing. As the company trusts in its product protection, the consumers trust in the brand.

The application of colour codes within PUMA has proven itself. Since its implementation melamine-alkyd polymers secure the products reliably. Identification of originals counters illegal over-production. Distribution chains can be reconstructed in detail with the support of security labelling.

The integration SECUTAG® in the production line occurs without any problem. Security labels are stiffed into the material or are fixed by direct application. Lifestyle company manufacturing process is not attached by this.

SECUTAG® has been admitted as decisive evidence by any court at national and international level, which is to PUMA’s benefit. Numerous proceedings, judicial as well as extrajudicial, have been solved to the company’s advantage with the aim of colour-codes.
